Please read these terms of use carefully before using this website. If you do not agree to this Terms of Use you may not use this Website. By using this Website, you signify your explicit assent to this Terms of Use as well as the Website’s Privacy Policy (which is hereby incorporated by reference herein).

These Terms of Use sets out the legally binding terms of services available on the Website as well as at the terms of use of this Website. These Terms of Use along with the Privacy Policy extends to both users, who visit the Website but do not transact business on the Website (“Users / Guests”) as well as users who are registered with by the Website to transact business on the Website (“Members”).

The Company reserves the right to modify or terminate any portion of the Website or the Services offered by the Company for any reason, without notice and without liability to you or any third party. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms of Use so that you will be apprised of changes, if any. Nothing in these Terms of Use should be construed to confer any rights to third party beneficiaries.

Our Promise

This Website provides access to trading, pricing, news and other information services related to diamonds, precious gems and jewellery. Certain Services available on this Website are for the use of Members only. Please note that some of the terms under these Terms of Use, differ for purchases for personal consumption and for investment purposes.

This Website offers services for Members who wish to purchase diamonds / jewellery for personal consumption, inclusive of, customized and readymade Jewellery. The Website also offers services to sell diamonds for investment. The Website displays diamonds and gemstones that are specifically recommended for the purpose of investment. The Website will also feature the recommendations of a trained diamond consultant, circulate a list of investment grade diamonds and recommend good buys. Recommendations of the consultant are not guaranteed under any circumstances and the Company shall not be held liable for any loss and / or damage suffered by Members who rely on such recommendation.

Some items may appear slightly larger or smaller than actual size due to screen defaults and photography techniques. Sometimes the items may be represented larger than the actual size in order to clearly show details or smaller than the actual size in order to show the entire item. The Company shall not be liable for any legal action on this account.

Definitions

“Jewellery” means the jewellery that is predesigned or jewellery set with diamonds and / or gemstones that are available for sale on our website. Please note that all Jewellery is sold on “as is” basis. “Mounts” are defined as designs that hold a diamond(s) / gemstone(s) in place, which may or may not have diamonds/ gemstones. Members can select Mounts and diamonds separately to create customized Jewellery. “Loose Diamonds” are individual diamonds that can be bought without being set on Mounts.

CaratLane PoP!

1. The minimum monthly payment is Rs. 1,000, and there is no maximum limit. Enrollment amount can only be in multiples of 1,000.
2. For monthly contribution above Rs. 34,000, PAN card is mandatory.
3. PoP! installments can only be paid online. We do not accept cash. The PoP! Value can be redeemed online on www.caratlane.com or at any CaratLane store or at an try-at-home appointment.
4. The monthly installment amount cannot be changed in the middle of the Plan of Purchase.
5. Customers can have only one active 1 PoP! account at a time.
6. NRIs, International users, minors (under the age of 18 years) are NOT eligible to enrol in PoP!

Redemption

1. The duration of CaratLane PoP! is 6 months. Customers should redeem the amount paid within 7 months after the first instalment is paid.
2. In case the PoP! Value is not redeemed within 7 months after the first installment is paid, the principal amount will be refunded. The CaratLane contribution will not be paid to the customer.
3. PoP! Value can be used to purchase any Diamond/Gemstone/Platinum/Preset Solitaires/Shaya (Silver Jewellery). It is not redeemable on 22KT jewellery, Gold coins, Mounts, Loose Diamonds, and Gift cards.
4. A grace period of 7 days will be provided post the due date to make the monthly payment. In case there is a delay in paying the monthly amount within the grace period, CaratLane’s contribution shall be reduced proportionally to the number of days by which the payment was delayed.
5. PoP! Value needs to be redeemed completely in one purchase. Partial redemption is not allowed. You are allowed to purchase multiple products, but they need to be ordered in one go.
6. Two PoP! Accounts cannot be merged for redemption.
7. CaratLane PoP cannot be combined with The Golden Harvest Scheme from Tanishq.
8. In case of an early redemption, CaratLane will contribute 10% of the first month’s contribution if 4 instalments are paid and 10% of the first month’s contribution once 5 instalments are paid. CaratLane contribution will be zero for less than 4 instalments.
9. Customers can club coupons or xCLusive Points along with the PoP! balance at the time of redemption.

Refunds

1. In case of 15-day money back and cancellation, ONLY the principal amount will be refunded to the customer. Customers won’t get the CaratLane contribution.
2. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days in the same account that the contribution has been made from.

Others

1. In case of demise of the enrolling individual, the nominee will be eligible to receive the amount. The nominee has to submit required documents to transfer the PoP! Balance to themselves.
2. What happens if an auto payment on a debit/credit card fails?

CaratLane Gift Cards

1. Gift Card(s) can be redeemed across CaratLane channel on Website and CaratLane Mobile Site, CaratLane mobile Apps, at any Stores.
2. Gift Card(s) can be redeemed on the purchase of any jewellery or Shaya products.
3. On the payment page, Click on the tab “Gift Card” and enter your 16 digit Gift Card number and pin for redemption.
4. Multiple Gift Cards can be used to make a payment in a single transaction. Gift Card(s) can be combined with any other payment type on CaratLane.com except on EMI.
5. Gift Card(s) once bought online, shall be considered as sold and cannot be Cancelled, Exchanged or Refunded.
6. Gift card(s) can be purchased only with Indian currency and redeemed only to India delivered orders.
7. Gift card(s) can also be redeemed partially, as many times as a user wishes to, till its balance is consumed or it expires.
8. Gift cards are valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance to the recipient.
9. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase another Gift Card.
10. If lost or misused, the Gift Card(s) cannot be replaced. Gift cards are void if resold, and cannot be exchanged for credit(s) or cash and cannot be re-validated once past the expiry date.
11. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, Caratlane’s Gift Card(s) and their use on our channel are also subject to Caratlane’s general Terms of Use & CaratLane’s decision will be final in case of any dispute.

Registration:

Users may register on the Website to become Members prior to the completion of any transaction on the Website. Guest checkout’s will be provided with a user account on completion of purchase.

To register onto the Website the User will have to provide Personal Information (as defined in the Privacy Policy), including but not limited name, e-mail, contact number, contact address and customer verification question (example: your mother’s maiden name), which will be used for verification purposes.

Registration is only a one time process and if the Member has previously registered, he/she shall login / sign into his / her account.

Order

Retail Purchase

Any Member who wishes to purchase an item from the Website can either:

1. Add the selected diamond(s) directly to the shopping cart; or
2. Customize jewellery by adding diamond(s) to a ring, pendant, earring or any other type of jewellery that is expressly stated as customizable on the Website and then add the item to the shopping cart; or
3. Choose from the selection of Jewellery available on the Website and add the item to the shopping cart; or
4. Call our trained consultants on +(91) 44 4293 5000 to place an order. The Member will receive the form for ordering via email/ fax/ courier based on their convenience.

In the event of a User wishing to make a purchase, the User may be required to register on the website after adding the item(s) to the shopping cart. If the product value is over ₹50,000, at the time of purchase the Members shall also provide mandatory information required under law like Permanent Account Number (PAN) and/or GST number.

Orders, are normally considered complete only after the payment has been received by CaratLane.com.

To confirm the orders, CaratLane.com may at random, call up the Members who have placed orders through the Website and ask the Member a verification question. CaratLane.com will confirm the order only after the verification question is answered by the Member.

Once the purchase of item(s) is confirmed, CaratLane.com:

1. In the case of Loose Diamond or customised jewellery – order for the diamond(s), set it on the Mount and deliver it to the Member; or
2. In the case of Jewellery – order for the manufacture of the Jewellery and deliver it to the Member.
3. In the event the bank rejects to honour any payment transaction made by a Member towards an order, CaratLane.com shall have the right to refuse to ship the order to the Member without any liability whatsoever.

RBI Mandate for PAN Card and COD

1. PAN CARD proof is mandatory for orders above Rs. 200,000. Order will be cancelled if the customer fails to produce the same.

Extension Of Privileges

Made-To-Order Jewellery

1. If a customer cancels a made-to-order jewellery order, the advance amount will be refunded to the customer.
2. In case a customer cancels a customised made-to-order jewellery order, there will be a 25% deduction of the order value before the refund is processed to the customer.
3. If a customer does not pick up a made-to-order jewellery order within 60 days from the store, the order will stand cancelled, and the advance amount will be refunded to the customer in the form of a gift card.
4. In case a customer does not pick up a customised made-to-order jewellery order within 60 days from the store, the order will be cancelled and 25% of the order value will be deducted and the balance amount will be refunded to the customer in the form of a gift card.

SBI Offer

5% Instant Discount on SBI Bank Credit Cards: 13th- 24th October, 2022

1. The minimum transaction value is ₹ 20,000
2. Maximum instant discount that can be availed during the validity of the Program is ₹ 2,000 per SBI Credit card, per channel.
3. The offer is valid once on the purchase of jewellery online on the website/app, and once at a CaratLane store.
4. Offer is valid from 13th to 24th October 2022.

Detailed Terms and Conditions:
– The offer is applicable on all purchases except gold coins.
– The offer is not valid on SBI Debit Cards, Corporate, Cashback and Paytm SBI Cards.
– Available / Ongoing offers can be clubbed with this offer. The final swipe/bill amount post the redemption of promo code/ xCLusive points should be ₹ 20,000 to be eligible for the offer.
– All government levies like GST, Sales Tax, TDS, any Local Tax, Octroi etc, shall be payable by the Cardholder as applicable during the offer period.
– The customer can connect with the SBI Bank’s helpdesk to establish clarity regarding the eligibility of their card for the offer.
– This offer is applicable on SBI Credit Cards and not applicable on SBI Corporate Cards. All SBI/Tata Credit Cardholders excluding SBI/Tata Corporate Credit Card with no payment outstanding of more than 30 days are covered under this Program.
